Gehman Construction
Do you have specific materials, products or a design in mind?
Your contractor would have suggestions based on places you could view materials or bring you samples. Giving pictures of a product or project to your contractor can be very helpful in communicating your goals to your contractor. What is your timetable? Is this something that needs to be done as soon as possible or on a flexible time table? Make sure you communicate your expectations to the contractor. If your project requires permits or drawings, be prepared to wait a few weeks or months before it can get started. It is also important to be prepared for possible delays in the project that are beyond their control such as weather, sickness, delivery, etc. Do you plan on doing any of the work yourself? This should be communicated at the very beginning of the project. Some contractors are willing to work with customers on items such as demo and painting, but others are not. |
